The Real Story

The Realization That Changed Everything

I spent a decade as an executive assistant to high-level executives and entrepreneurs. I was good at it — systems, processes, keeping people sane. But then I hit a wall.

I was building systems that worked for some brains, and not for others. I’d design a productivity system, hand it to a client with ADHD, and watch it quietly fail — not because they weren’t trying, but because the system was fighting their brain instead of working with it.

That’s when I realized: I had ADHD.

And suddenly, every system I’d been forcing people into made sense — as a system I’d been fighting against my entire career. The morning routines, the task managers, the “just plan better” advice. None of it was designed for how my brain actually works.

So I stopped designing for “productivity” and started designing for how ADHD brains actually operate. I rebuilt my own systems — real ADHD productivity systems that work with the brain, not against it. They worked. Then I started helping other overwhelmed professionals do the same.

That’s what PurpleLalu is now.

Hi — I’m Sabrina.

I built PurpleLalu because I needed ADHD productivity systems that worked for the way my brain actually operates — and couldn’t find any that did. The usual advice was very cute. Unfortunately, my executive function did not attend the meeting.

Now I work with overwhelmed business professionals and parents in three ways: body doubling sessions for getting unstuck in real time, clarity sessions for mapping out what’s blocking you, and ongoing VA support for people who are ready to stop drowning entirely.

I’m also a virtual executive assistant contractor with BELAY — which means I work inside real businesses every day. I see exactly what breaks, what gets forgotten, and what systems actually hold up when life gets loud.

None of what I do comes from a textbook. It comes from living it, failing at it, rebuilding it, and figuring out what actually works.
