Virtual Body Doubling Sessions

You Know the Task.
The Task Doesn’t Care.

You’ve known about it for three days. Maybe three weeks. It’s not hard. You’re not incapable. You just can’t seem to make yourself start — and the longer you wait, the bigger the guilt gets. That’s what body doubling fixes.

60 minutes. No pep talk. No performance review. Just presence.

Body Doubling Session -- 60 minute virtual coworking session for ADHD brains
The Real Problem

You’re Not Lazy. You’re Just Alone With the Task.

That’s the whole thing, actually. Not a discipline problem. Not a “just do it” problem. A your brain needs a witness problem.

Body doubling is one of the most effective, most underrated tools for ADHD brains — and honestly, for any brain that struggles to get started alone. Working alongside another person creates just enough external accountability to get your nervous system to cooperate. No pressure. No performance. Just presence.

The Inbox

47 unread. You’ve opened it four times today and closed it four times today.

The Proposal

Due yesterday. The client thinks you’re “still finalizing.” You are not finalizing.

The Invoice

Sitting in drafts since March. You are, technically, owed money.

The Process

How Virtual Body Doubling Sessions Work

1

Book your session

Pick your time. Tell us what you’re avoiding — or don’t, we won’t make you explain yourself.

2

Show up (camera optional)

On camera, off camera, mic on or off — whatever you need to actually be present. You don’t need to perform productivity. You just need to show up.

3

We work in parallel

You on your task, me on mine. No collaboration, no coaching — just two people working at the same time.

4

Walk away with it done

The thing that’s been sitting there for three weeks is now, miraculously, not sitting there anymore.

⚡ Focus Mode

Silent, side-by-side work. No check-ins. You show up, work, log off. Best for when you just need presence, not conversation.

💬 Supported Mode

A quick check-in at the start and end, plus space to talk through what’s got you stuck if you need it. Best for the harder days.

“As a contractor running a business, I hate all the paperwork and always push it off. Until later comes and I needed it two days ago. The body doubling sessions are great and make getting it done easy. I have two standing sessions a month and stay on top of my paperwork instead of drowning in it.”

— Justin

“Sabrina’s guidance has kept me accountable, and I now have a weekly standing body-doubling appointment with her. Planning according to my energy level means I fight against myself less.”

Questions

Before You Book

What if I finish early, or don’t finish at all?

Both are fine. Finish early and want to start something else — great, keep going. Don’t finish — also fine, that’s not a failure, that’s just how the task was sized. The point of the session is momentum, not a finished product by minute 60.

Do I have to talk during the session?

No. Talking isn’t required, and neither is camera — both are entirely up to you. Plenty of sessions are almost entirely silent — that’s often exactly the point. If you want a quick check-in at the start and end, that’s available too, just say so when you book.

Do I have to have my camera on?

No — camera is genuinely optional. If being on camera helps you feel present, great. If the thought of being seen makes you want to cancel the whole session, that’s fine too — turn it off and work anyway. What matters is that someone else is there, not that anyone’s watching you specifically.

Does this only work for ADHD brains?

No. Body doubling is an ADHD-community staple because it works especially well for executive dysfunction, but the mechanism — external presence making it easier to start — helps plenty of non-ADHD brains too. If task initiation is your problem, this is a reasonable thing to try regardless of diagnosis.

What can I actually bring to a session?

Anything you’re avoiding. Emails, invoices, a proposal, admin, a dreaded phone call you keep putting off, cleaning out a folder that’s become a crime scene. It doesn’t need to be work-related or even “productive” in the traditional sense — it just needs to be the thing you can’t start alone.

What’s your reschedule or cancellation policy?

Built to be forgiving. Need to move it? Reschedule with 12 hours’ notice, no charge. Need to cancel entirely? Full refund if it’s 24+ hours out. And life happens — your first no-show or last-minute cancel gets a free pass; after that the session fee is forfeited. Full details on the refund policy page.

Is this coaching or therapy?

No. This is presence, not guidance. I’m not going to walk you through why you’re avoiding the task or coach you toward a breakthrough — I’m just going to be in the room while you finally do it. If you’re looking for a deeper strategy conversation, a Clarity Session is the better fit.

Stop Staring at the Task.

You’ve known about it long enough. Sixty minutes with someone else in the room is usually all it takes.
